Subtitles

Subtitling is a unique form audiovisual translation, with its own set of rules and guidelines. I use a professional software to create on-screen text timed to the spoken dialogue. This is done according to industry standards, but the appearance of the specific subtitles can be personalized to your liking.

Rates:

• Completed script: Starting at $4 per minute of runtime
• No script: Starting at $5 per minute of runtime

Closed Captions

Similar to subtitles, CC also include a textual representation of all on-screen audio. They are generally intended for people who are hearing impaired.

Dub Script Adaptation

When a movie is dubbed in a foreign language, the script must be adapted to be as close as to the original as possible. This is where the audio translation gets creative, because the new dialogue must be synchronized to match not only the original meaning, but also the speaker’s lip movements, and intonations.

Transcription

Transcription is the process in which speech or audio is converted into a written text document (and translated into a foreign language)
